We are happy in our new home. We look forward to working with Brian again, 3-5 years from now, when we go to sell this house. Thank you, Brian!
He was extremely knowledgeable about the purchase process and provided us with great representation. Brian committed a great deal of time to our transaction, which was needed inasmuch we do not live locally and we probably needed the extra care and diligence he provided. We have a great deal of confidence in Brian and as such we have hired him again to represent us in the leasing of our property. We highly recommend Brian, not only is he extremely qualified, he makes himself readily available and is always responsive to our calls. Additionally, he is a really nice person and is a pleasure to work with.
He was fantastic and invaluable in the entire process. Would highly recommend him to any prospective buyers or sellers!
Brian was incredible to work with throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond what was required of him and truly earned our trust and confidence. He was always proactive and thoughtful and made the process of being a first-time home buyer very stress-free and simple. Nichole and I will be recommending Brian to all of our friends looking for homes in the Austin area.
We did not hesitate to reach out to him when we needed to find our new home in Lakeway. From the beginning, Brian, along with his assistant, Kathryn, listened to our wish list and our goals to find a house before the start of the school year. Brian and Kathryn helped us set up an account with Realty Austin to receive email listings and open house updates. From the first house we went to see in Lake Pointe, to the house we bought in Lakeway, Brian was in constant communication and checking in with my husband and I about the listings we liked, setting up appointments, reaching out to listing agents, and joining us at open houses. Communication with Brian was excellent, his assistant scheduled the house tours, that helped us better understand how a day visiting homes would look like. Then, meeting with my family, interacting with our daughter, listening to her wish list as well, giving us advice, emailing and meeting to discuss comps and checking in afterwards. Brian went above and beyond, one weekend when we were traveling and unable to see a house, he went to the property and did a video tour showing us the home and answering questions about the house. The day we found our house, it was on a Sunday, and Brian worked all afternoon, reaching out to the listing agent, calling us back-to-back, and finally closing the deal. We couldn't been happier and excited to have found a house, and on the same day knowing we were going to close a month later. After many weekends, weekdays, emails, texts, calls, with Brian and Kathryn, will be moving this weekend to our new house. We cannot thank Brian enough for his commitment and excellent work. Will continue working with him in the next month while he helps us to list our home in South Austin for sale.
I could go on and on about how helpful he was through the entire experience and ultimately worked tirelessly to help us get our dream home! Brian is extremely knowledgeable about the market and the technicalities of home buying. After meeting us and listening to our criteria in what we wanted, he quickly "got it" and then worked carefully to show us homes that fit what we were looking for. Brian never pressured us and made sure we were staying comfortable within our budget. Further, he was reasonable with us about the demand in the area, so we knew what to expect. He spent hours on the phone with us as we contemplated whether or not to make offers. Brian was responsive and got back to us at all hours of the day. We are now in our dream home in Northwest Hills, and we are thrilled. Thank you, Brian!
Brian was referred to us by a friend who spoke well of him before we met. At our first meeting at the property, Brian suggested a marketing strategy that matched the property rather than just a list it and see what the proposals are. The property is a unique tract that attracted a lot of solicitations the majority of which were not close to the value and potential of the property. The plan to purchase a tree and topo survey, prepare a feasibility study of what the City would allow, and obtain a Demo permit required an investment of time and money but resulted in a package that would be attractive to a targeted buyer and give that person the information needed for an informed decision. The result was multiple qualified offers over listing price from which we chose a primary and backup contract. Brian has a great relationship with Independence Title and we closed on time within 25 days of contract date. We were informed and aware of every step in the process and the result was better than we could ask for in price and effort. We would gladly refer Brian and his associate Kathryn to a friend of family members for future real estate projects.
I'm not sure we would be homeowners right now if it weren't for Brian Copland and Kathryn Miers. They only sent us houses that were worth our time to look at, quickly understood our style and preferences, never wasted our time, and got the deal done! I will definitely use them again.
Could not have asked for better agents to work with. I know Brian + Kathryn are one of the top earners at Realty Austin (and all of Austin), and it shows. Not only do their styles complement each other, but they've been so patient with us throughout the process, so incredibly helpful (they held our hands throughout the process), and were able to effectively negotiate and get the deal across the finish line with the seller and the seller's agent. It's not an exaggeration when I say they got us our dream home!
He goes above and beyond, working tirelessly to get the best results and to create a win-win for all parties. He's really gifted at this more than any realtor I've ever worked with. And I just sense he absolutely loves what he's doing. I recommend him to everyone I encounter who needs a realtor. I call him the "adorable pit bull" and I mean it in the most positive way.
He is extremely professional, knowledgeable of every issue that came up, and always responded to our calls or emails within minutes. On the way to our closing, we hit a deer. Our car was then inoperable. He immediately set up a way for us to DOC U SIGN with a notary once we made it back home. We would recommend him to anyone looking to sell a home.
Literally day by day he proved his vast knowledge and experience working in the highly competitive Austin real estate market. He always seemed to be one or two steps ahead of the process and had various ideas and solutions to a multitude of problems we encountered during our home search and escrow phases. He was patient with us, brought us stability during a highly stressful environment, incredibly reliable, responsive, and accommodating. He went above and beyond to make sure our financial interests were always best served. The difference in skill, industry knowledge, negotiating, and rapport he and his team showed us was a night and day difference with prior Realtor experiences. We will be working with Brian and his team on all our future Austin real estate transactions from here on out.
There were multiple issues they tackled to maximize the value of my property and kept me sane in the process. Things would not have gone as smoothly, as quickly, or as well without their help. I definitely recommend them to everybody.
Now, when describing Brian to friends over this past month, I have used words such as a magician, amazing, personal, there for me, fighter, upbeat and positive, and friend. I sent this to the person who introduced us, who worked with Brian to buy his house: "I do not care how much he did for you; I assure you, he did more for me. The guy is a true magician. He is the hardest working person in the business. He somehow stays incredibly upbeat. My brother-in-law used to say: kadima (forward in Hebrew). He battled cancer longer than anyone I know. He rode a roller coaster for about a decade. The initial prognosis was just a few years. He never got down. He just said: kadima. Not on the same scale, but Brian is so similar. I was on a crazy roller coaster, and Brian just kept finding solutions." The reason for my first statement about "prior to last night" is because last night, I had a serious fire at my new house. The entire downstairs floor will be ripped up, and I'm sure every piece of drywall (walls and ceiling) in the house will be torn out. Besides, behind 2 closed closet doors, there isn't an inch not COVERED with soot, and everywhere has smoke damage. The Blackmon Mooring guy looked around and said they would just board up the house...there was not even a thought to do any sort of restoring. As you can imagine, I'm absolutely devasted and crushed beyond words. Last night, somehow, Brian was there within minutes of the firemen. Within minutes of that, he was talking about how now my kids and I get to pick out the paint and how we were going to make the home ours. He was giddy at the thought of how we can make this house, even more, our home and doing his best to get me to see the pathway forward. (I can assure you, that is exactly what I needed!) When I finally left the new home for the old one (there is a 7-day overlap before the movers arrive on Monday), I read my email. Brian had already set up a portal and filled it with homes for lease. What kind of realtor shows up when your house is on fire, keeps you looking forward, and then takes EVEN MORE time from his schedule (you cannot imagine what he has done over the past five weeks to get me my new home) to find you your next lease??? It's unheard of, truly. But clearly, not for Brian. I'm not sure what accolades or awards you can bestow upon him, but please make sure those who can do. If I can help, please do not hesitate to contact me or to point me in the direction where I can make sure he is considered for any and all accolades. For now, all I can tell him is: thank you for your constant effort and for being a friend.
I appreciate his great positive outlook and his sense of the market. Brian really took care of everything in an excellent and professional style. Brian is a rising star in his field! I am thankful that he applied his skills and experience, and enthusiasm for my sale! I also want to compliment on choosing Kathryn Miers as his Licensed Assistant. I am so grateful to her for how she helped me sell the house too. I love her style and gentle manner. She gave me clarifications throughout the selling process and has an ease and genuine kindness. Thank you both. I wish both of them the best.
I don’t need to tell you how challenging the Austin residential real estate market is for buyers. We had some very specific requirements regarding location, size, etc. (good thing we weren’t too specific about the price going in because we definitely raised our budget!). Brian did a great job helping us understand and navigate the market. His advice on pricing and negotiating strategy was usually spot on, and he did not hesitate to tell us when he thought a house was overpriced (even in the current market) or otherwise not a good choice for us. It really builds trust when a realtor tells you not to make (or increase) an offer because you know he is looking out for your best interests, not just trying to earn a commission.
He recommended a fantastic inspector, to which the Superintendent of our home said that it was the absolute best inspection report he has ever seen, and always went the extra mile. Being first-time home buyers the process was a bit daunting for us, but Brian ensured there was always constant communication between us, our mortgage broker, the sales consultant, and any other stakeholder. We are looking forward to purchasing another home from him in the future and we will definitely be giving him referrals!
We were new in town and unsure where to even begin, but Brian took his time with us. He showed us many houses and went through all the details, pluses, and minuses of each one. He's always patient, always giving, always friendly, and fun. He is a step ahead of every Realtor we've ever met! Both in action and in his way of doing business because he goes above and beyond, and always with a smile on his face. We can't sing his praises enough. He made us feel seen and heard, pushed for the honorable thing every time, and yet he always knew another way to make our home search extra pleasant, and our offer stands out. And in the end, we found a beautiful house that we are now delighted to call our home. We feel so lucky to have worked with Brian, who worked tirelessly on our behalf as we navigated this crazy Austin real estate market. Not only is he clearly a man who knows his stuff, but after spending so much time with him, we also now feel lucky to call him a friend. We would recommend him to anyone looking to buy a home in Austin!
We were pleasantly surprised by the high energy level and can-do attitude when we met Brian. It was the same dedication to our satisfaction if we would have bought a 100k property or 500k property. All calls and texts were promptly answered, and it was very easy to find a deal. It took us two trips to Austin before we settled on a property. Brian's experience in writing the offer was the one that tilted the sale in our favor in a crowded market that started to show the signs of a bidding war. Today we are the happy owners of a condo that we liked from first sight.
Including a DocuSign closing as my wife Loxy was out of State at the closing date. This is our second transaction with Brian this year and look forward to working with him again in the near future.
He is everything I would hope for in a realty partner: professional, detail-oriented, and with a high sense of urgency. I would definitely work with Brian again!
He did an excellent job marketing my house in Hancock for a quick, easy and efficient sale that generated a lot of potential buyers and an earned above-list sale price. Brian provided excellent advice that undoubtedly lead to a great experience for me as the seller and also for the buyers. He listened to my goals for the sale of my house and was knowledgeable and hardworking during the entire process. I barely had to lift a finger!
Brian sold our house for the highest price ever in the neighborhood, and the transaction went very smoothly. I could not recommend him more highly.
He worked very hard and diligently for our specific needs. He found our house in 2 weeks and was extremely helpful in all aspects of the transaction He as available 24/7. We would definitely use Brian and recommend him to my friends and colleagues. He is a 10/10 in my book.
He is all the things you want from a Realtor—knowledgeable, experienced, strategic, etc. But more than that, he’s what you want in a partner, and that’s what sets him apart. Brian partners with you to understand your needs and goals, advise you honestly on the wise path, and then guide you along your way with patience and time-tested insight. In all our years of working with Brian, we’ve never felt like a number or a means to an end; he truly prioritizes our goals over his own. But that human-centered, empathetic core comes with the kind of hard-nosed expertise that you need to successfully navigate Austin’s intense market. He’s the perfect balance of care and competence. We have recommended him time and again and will continue to do so.
I am not joking when I say that he made miracles happen. He somehow made buying in a "hot" market feel like an easier process than when we last bought in a "cool" market. He was always available to us despite some very busy personal times (new baby!). We feel extremely lucky to have found Brian and his team and will absolutely be recommending him to friends/family/anybody that will listen to us.
